So we've discovered the animal section at the Shilin Night Market. This is the second time we've been here and it is actually VERY big. I mean we thought the first time around that Shilin was big, but now we realize it's huge. They have a whole animal fleamarket/petting zoo downstairs. And a bowling alley too, which we haven't been to. Enjoy!
This is a famous Taiwanese dish oyster omelet. Not much to look at but it is quite good.
Eating the oyster omelet. A little difficult to take apart with your chopsticks.
View inside the food-court area of night market. Dozens, possibly hundreds of stalls.
Ahhh the Taiwanese... always dreaming of glamorous American locales.
We've found Crookshanks! He's been hiding in a Taiwanese animal market!
This sort of dog is typical in Taiwan.
Take me home!
Fortunately you can't hear me raining on Megan's parade.
This is the furriest rabbit I've ever seen. Some people carry these around like they would pet dogs.
More bunnies.
Mean-lookin' tarantula.
Meaner-lookin' scorpion.
Scorpion for sale.
Ladies night! Throw a ring on the **** to win money!
The games area of the night market has suddenly turned into a bachelorette party.
I've been jipped out of enough money back in the States to fall for this one. Hey, English service! This is an equal opportunity rip-off!
