The agency we are working on getting jobs through in Taiwan advised us to have at least 15 passport photos at the ready for all the paperwork that will require it. After going to CVS and balking at the cost ($9.99 for 3 photos and $1.99 for each set after that), we decided to make our own. We found out sitting on our porcelain throne provided a nice white backdrop and we used Picasa to print the requisite 2x2 photos. Total cost: $8 for the photo paper and we now have 16 photos each.
